I wanna make the most honest self evaluation, cause I really need it. I was thinking of doing it anyway in another plataform, but this is a good chance to do it.
This year, my second year at the university, was kind of weird. The subjects that I had were really different from each other and kind of strange. At the beggining, I didnt understand what was all about, but then I realize that everything had a purpose. Unfortunately, it was a little late. But anything is lost yet, so I have faith, and I will have it untill the very end.

In the first semester of this year at journalism, I had just one more subject than the second one, but I barely feel it. The second semester was tougher than the first one. Specially because the subject of philosophy was in it (well, it wasnt call it that way, the subject´s name was "the knowlegde´s problem", but it is the same). And I hated it. I don´t like philosophy at all, but I understood why is so important to this career. I´m still fighting with this subject, but I think I´m gonna pass it anyway... well, I hope so.

That was a particular problem, but in general I most say that I that this was a really good year, academicly speaking. I don´t have the best grades, but I feel I´m moving on and growing as a journalist. As I said in another post, I have a radio program with my friend José Manuel Bustamante, called "Aficción" and it´s about cinema, literature and tv shows (and you can hear it following this link. comments are wellcome), so I have been practice the journalism in other ways. I think is great to have good marks at the unniversity, but it´s really healthy to practice in some way what are you going to do in the future, during the career. Not sacrifying the marks, of course... and that´s something that I learn this year.

I hope the next year will be better, everyone hopes the same. I wanna have more good marks, organize my time and work in our project. "Aficción" is going to be a website, with reviews and links to the differents topics that is about, but I have to work harder the next year so I can produce as much at the university as in my personal proyects.

I can´t say a have the perfect family, `cause I don`t. Anybody has, actually. But mine is great and I love them. And that`s the important, right?
My dad, Carlos Andueza Gonzalez, is a not-strict policeman, my mom, Jacqueline Garrido, is a not really dedicated housewife and my sister, Carolina Andueza Garrido, is a lazy student. Can you figure it out how am I?
They love me and I love them. They support me and take care of at the distance. Now I called them ocassionally and I ask them for advice every once in a while. I spend only the holidays with them so I tried to enjoy a lot when I am with them.
My friends, in the other hand, are great. I have a really few friends but they`re amaizing. Jose Bustamante y Karina Mondaca are the greatest! I don´t know what can I do here without them.
I feel really good with the family and friends that I have.

I never knew the old transportation system. I´m not from Santiago so I never got on a yellow bus. But like everybody says that system must be much better than the current one. This one sucks! it´s really slow and uncomfortable. The worst part is that I have to travel on it like an hour from my house to the University every single day. And then, the way back of course.

I dont like this system. I think the goverment spent a lot of money on it and nothing good came out of it. Is like a joke to the people. A bad one.

Thounsands of people suffer everyday because of this system. They can´t reach any bus, because at the peak hour these are full. And there aren´t enough to the entire Satiago population.

And although you can see the city through the windows, I rather the subway than the bus. The bus is the slowest and most of the time stinks. It stop in every red light and also, of course, in the bus stops.

The subway, in the other hand, is faster. If you are hurry, you can calculate how much you late to go somewhere and the subway take you there in that time. The bus not. But the bad thing about the subway is that you can´t see outside and also is really difficult to get a sit.

In summer, the both alternatives are really uncomfortable because of the heat... but I don´t wanna remeber that. Not yet.

I`ve come back.

Now I´m gonna write about my last term of this year.

That term was a really good one, I did a lot of things and I started a new proyect that I´m really proud of.

First of all, during the summer, I went with my family to the south of Chile. We had been planing this trip to Coyhaique since a lot of time ago, and it finally works. It was great. The south of the country is beautifull, amazing. The only bad thing was the weather, so cloudy, rainy and cold.

Then, I come back to Santiago and the classes started. In general, it was a really boring semester, in everything related to class. I didn´t like so much the subjects that I got (bad thing), but I pass them all (good thing). The only subject that I really liked was Chronicle and Interview. It was a real challenge and I enjoy it a lot.

But a really good thing that happened the last term was the podcast that we started. And I say "we" because this is a proyect that I´m doing with two other friends: Macarena and José. We have a radio program broadcasting on the internet, and we talk about fiction products on it. Every week, since april, we talk about books, movies, anime, tv shows and others, and it´s been great.

So, yeah! I think that´s a good way of describe my last term of 2009.

The picture above it´s from Chaiten, a little town in the south of Chile that it´s becoming really famous around the world because of the vulcano and its explotion. We went there after the destruction, but I already write about this in a previous post. Well, anyway, I have to say it again, it was awsome!

I know I didn`t have so much time to do this and I`ve been really lost since a little time ago... but it`s the unversity style of life. So, I´m sorry.
I liked to do this, it was a really weird experiment, but in a good way. It allowed me to write what I never thought I`ll writ in this language. The only problem was the time (and also my memory, I alwasys forgott to do it).

So, pretty much, that`s it.

I couldn`t be any more agree with what Ken Robinson said on TED.
He started his conference talking about the future and how difficult is to us to see it, to imaginate it. And that´s true, due to multiple tecnologies steps the last time has been place.
He thinks that creativity is a really important part of education, but schools doesn`t get it that way. "We are educating people out of their creativity" he says. And he is right.
He also says that been wrong it´s not a crime, but schools today doesn`t really allow to their students to be wrong, and cut their creativity with lot of work and no art.
Robinson argues that the educational system today is preparing only college teachers, and that really talented child are not able to expressed theirslefs.
"He champions a radical rethink of our school systems, to cultivate creativity and acknowledge multiple types of intelligence" says on TED´s website.

Francisco Ortega is a really good example for me.

I`m pretty sure that he is not the best journalist of Chile, or the most famous one, but he is an important reference to me. He, actually, was born in the same town than me (Victoria, IX region), so that fact give me a lot of hope in my future.

I like his work as journalist `cause he has done what I want to do in the future, and that`s working on a lot of media and not to type-cast in one particular job.

He also has writing and publishing a couple of novels, and I really desire to write and publish a few of my own.

He thirty-something and he has work in a lot of places: Zona de Contacto, Wiken, Revista de Libros, Virtualia, Capital, La Tercera, Rolling Stone, Vive y Muy Interesante (and he was director of the last ones).

He has writing two novels: "60 kilómetros" (1995) y "El núméro Kaifman" (2006).
